Zoe was born on November 9, 2012, but her story began long before that. Six healthy embryos resulted from Zoe's biological parents first round of IVF. They transferred two embryos and were blessed with boy/girl twins....and they were done. The fate of the remaining 4 embryos weighed heavily on their minds and hearts for two years until they connected online with Charis & Duffy in the fall of 2011.
Charis & Duffy had been through the ringer with failed fertility and adoption efforts until they were blessed with a daughter through domestic adoption in the spring of 2011. Shortly after her birth, a friend shared with Charis that she was planning on doing a "Snowflake" adoption.
